Athletic Yoga Workouts.

My goal is to get you out of your head and into your body. To give you an hour or more where the world goes quiet and to offer you the tools to get lost in the music, the moment, and the power of your own breath.

The instruction is anatomy-based, starts slowly, ends slowly, and moves to a beat. The parts in between are fluid and repetitious, moving from one pose to the next, creating muscle memory in the body. I offer modifications to simplify the postures as well as cues to level up your practice, creating a truly “all-levels” experience. We focus on how the practice makes you feel, rather than what it looks like.

Overall, classes are meant to get your heart pumping and body moving. I hope to leave you feeling energized, confident and curious about the magic of yoga.

Hi friends. I’m Katie Grand. I’m a mama, wife, sister, daughter and yoga instructor with California roots. I love strong coffee, my golden retriever, Belushi, and a really good dance party.

After a long, collegiate soccer career, a severe case of scoliosis and an extensive spine surgery to follow, I stepped into heated vinyasa studio longing for a way to exercise again and was immediately hooked. I was absorbed in the words, the movement and the music. I was fascinated by the loss of self consciousness and the change I felt in my body and my mood after just an hour of effort.

The power of breath, movement and some really good tunes continues to lift me up. This is why I practice and this is the feeling I want to give my students.
